He was the CACC organiser for the PAGB InterFederation Print Competitions and Exhibition in 2004, and for the PAGB Awards Event in 2005.
Mark rejoined the Committee in 2009 and returned to the role of PAGB Executive member in 2010. He has managed the website since 2010. During 2017-2020, he was Chairman, and managed the PAGB Awards Event again in 2019. He continues on the Committee.
Mark is on the CACC judging panel. This was written in 2018 for a KCPA event and it remains Mark’s philosophy today.
Photography has innumerable purposes, but underlying all are components of art and of craft. I try to view each image as evidence of the photographer’s achievement regardless of subject matter. The approach to each type of subject can vary widely from abstract fiction to rigid reproduction, and it is a question of whether the approach is appropriate and, desirably, inventive. Every subject and situation has its photographic challenges to be overcome. These, together with the ultimate presentation make up the art and craft of photography.
Both Mark and Judy are jointly on the CACC lecturing list. See ‘Our Talks‘.
The CACC Website includes news; events; and links to camera clubs in the region.
